The Petal Mask has a uniquely-soft, gel-like consistency, making it easy to apply with fingers or mask brush. It is hand blended with all natural and many locally sourced ingredients that vary with changing seasons. This process can lead to variation in color from very pale to darker pink and slight change in consistency. Your MAHALO ritual : how to use
The Petal Mask makes a wonderful morning treatment, applied 10-20min before a shower, or as an evening treatment, like while taking a bath. Smooth 1 teaspoon of mask over clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye and lip areas. For a daily exfoliation, allow to rest on skin for 3-5 minutes. For a more enriching treatment leave on skin for 15 – 25 mins, or if sensitive for up to 5 mins. To remove, use a wet warm face cloth, or wash-off under a warm shower.
*You might experience tingling during treatment, and slightly reddish/flushed skin following 30-50 minutes after treatment, which indicates the desired boost in blood circulation.

My grandmother’s facial massage
This little “honey rolling” technique was taught to me by my grandmother. The stickiness of honey helps to lift impurities from the skin and boost circulation. Over the years I have adopted it to use with The PETAL mask, and elated to share it with you:
• Scoop a generous amount of The PETAl Mask and thoroughly soften on the palm of your hand, bringing it to a liquid honey consistency. Add water if needed.
• Apply on dry skin fairly quickly, as mask is designed to set within 3-4 minutes once on the skin
• With palms flat against the cheeks, roll the palms from back to front, feeling how the sweetness of the mask is being lifted from the skin
• Continue rolling on the cheeks, forehead and chin
• When you feel the mask is beginning to set, destribute the product evently on the skin and let for 10-15 minutes
• Best rinsed in the shower, as you allow the warm water to reactivate and deeper nourish your skin

Hyaluronic Acid
A potent hydrator, it holds 1,000x its weight in water. Low molecular sodium hyaluronate penetrates deep into the skin to help in retaining moisture and provide serious and hydration that lasts and lasts.
Willow
Ggentle exfoliation. The beta-hydroxy willow extract helps to gently exfoliate and clean the pores from the inside, removing build-up of oil, pollutants, sweat, dirt, blood and other toxins. Nature’s salicylic acid, it exfoliates without irritation or sensitivity.
Rose hydrosol
An esteemed queen of flowers. Distilled specifically for hydrosol, it has potent aromatherapeutic and skin benefits. Known to calm the nervous system and fight symptoms of anxiety and depression, rose acts as a bactericide, healing the skin, reducing acne and inflammation.
Bergamot
Highly regarded since ancient times for its antioxidant properties, this oil helps to brighten, calm, and balance sensitive and irritated skin.
Camellia oil
Feather-light nourishing moisturizer. Camellia flower symbolizes feminine beauty. The oil is highly emollient, rich in antioxidant polyphenols, Omega 3, 6 and 9, as well as vitamins A, B, D and E. With it’s unique composition of exfoliation and lubrication, the oil helps to dissolve the dead skin cells structure, and reduce flakiness. Ideally, your special beauty cabinet in the coolest room of your house. Bathroom is generally not the best place to store our products, as it tends to get both humid and hot, which might shorten the shelf-life and efficacy of the product.
We strongly recommend you begin using the product upon receiving it from MAHALO or one of our authorized retailers, and not storing them for later use. We craft each product to order, so you can rest assured that you will always receive the freshest batch when you order from our website. Use The PETAL hydrating mask within 6 months from the date of opening to ensure maximum efficacy.
Using clean spoon or spatula to scoop out the product, and not your fingers, will help in keeping unwanted bacteria away from your skin treasures.
Please note, though our products do not contain conventional preservatives like parabens, we have put tremendous efforts in developing alternative “green” preservation systems that ensures broad spectrum preservation of our products that contain honey, and hydrosols.
Q: How long will the 100ml jar of the PETAL Mask last?
A: If used daily, you can expect your jar to last you around 3-4 months. If used 3-4 times a week, the PETAL Mask can last you up-to 5-6 months.
