Non-comedogenic – meaning it will not clog your pores or be the cause of a breakout. This butter is able to penetrate deeper into the layers of the skin, stimulating collagen and elastin performance that promote skin regeneration.
Contains a high content of diketones, which are known for their anti-inflammatory and cell regenerating properties. Helichrysum Italicum will diminish and repair scar formations, accelerate the growth of new skin tissue, and calm any inflammation because of the diketones. Furthermore, breakouts are reduced because of the potent antibacterial properties.
The oil is rich in antioxidants, helping to reduce cellular damage caused by harmful free radicals. Babassu oil is packed with vitamin E, and essential fatty acids with a high concentration of lauric acid which offers anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Contains all 21 amino acids and one of the highest Omega 6 and 3 essential (not naturally produced by our body) fatty acids which are key components for maintaining healthy skin. The Linoleic (62% composition) and alpa-Linolenic acids deliver potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties for treatment of acne, dermatitis and other skin inflammatory conditions etc. Studies indicate that hemp seed oil can dramatically decrease skin dryness to alleviate itching and irritation. High in antioxidants such as beta-carotene, which is recognized for its ability to increase cell turnover, regenerating skin, and making it effective for healing epidermis damage. The scientific studies have shown that beta-carotene has been found to protect the skin from UV rays, pollution, and stress.

The Rare Indigo beauty balm has a uniquely-soft and creamy consistency which differs from our Mahalo Balm or other balms on the market that are generally solid in room temperature. The suggestion of “a little goes a long way” is most appropriate, as a drop of this concentrated potion is all you need to nourish your thirsty complexion.

Q: How long will the 30ml jar last?
A: With daily use, morning and/or night, it will last you approximately 4-6 months
Q: I have received my Rare Indigo in the mail, and it looks liquid. Has it gone bad?
A: It is completely normal for the Rare Indigo to melt in temperatures over 85F, and in no way alter’s its efficacy. Simply place the balm in the fridge for 1-2 hrs for the butters and oils to solidify, and enjoy.
Q: How do I store the Rare Indigo?
A: It is important to store ALL Mahalo products, including the Rare Indigo, in a cool, dry place. We do not recommend keeping them in the bathroom, as the humidity and warm temperatures will cause to serum to lose it’s potency faster. In the hot summer months you may wish to store the Rare Indigo in the crisper of your refrigerator.
Q: Oils break me out, I am afraid that the Rare Indigo will do the same.
A: The formula of the Rare Indigo contains only the non-comedogenic ingredients, the ingredients that do not to block pores. If you are new to using oils/balms on your skin, we recommend to begin with 1/3 pea size. Apply over wet/damp skin, so to allow for increased hydration and moisture balance of your skin.

A:We do our best to have product tastes available for purchase. However its not guaranteed that we have samples on hand all the time, as everything is made and poured by hand, including the sample tastes. Please check this page for current availability.
