Suggested Layering
If you are using an oil serum like The VITALITY ELIXIR, then the mousse will go after it. If you are using a balm like The MAHALO BALM of The WINTER GRACE, then it can go before the balms. Oil-based products always perform best when applied on damp skin! Either leave your skin damp after cleansing, or begin with The FLOWER of FLOWERS mist, or The HAWAIIAN HYDRATION, then follow with a serum, and this multi-tasking mousse goodness.
How Much To Use:
With a self-loving compliment, IN-JOY a pearl-size of mousse to face, neck & décolleté
AM & PM, avoiding under-eye. Best when applied on damp skin. And any amount, as needed, for hands, elbows, or even a tiny dollop for aromatic indulgence.
Storage:
As this is a whipped mousse, it is best stored in cool temperature. Leaving it by the heater will cause it to melt and lose its fluffy texture. To prevent this from happening: don’t wait, indulge right-away!

I take pride in calling myself an artisan maker. Now going into my second decade, I continue to dedicate my time to hone in my knowledge, and experience in creating botanical skin care potions that deliver visible results, indulge our senses, and deepen our connection to rituals that make us feel more whole and complete.
I LOVE all MAHALO formulas. They all came through me as my “creative babies”, through both scientific, and botanical RnD (research and development), as well as artisanal, artistic explorations. However, once the formula is finalized, the creativity has to take a step back, and allow for a repeated precision to rule the production line. So whenever I get an opportunity to create a limited edition product, to “spread my creative wings”, and let the botanicals, and aromatics take me on a journey of creation….oh, this truly is a moment when my soul comes alive to play. The creation of IN-JOY was one of those special moments.
The original creation started with an abundance of left-over bounty of Mother Nature’s ingredients. I just finished the production of special batches of TWO of QUEEN EMMA’s oil essence serum + pressed serum balm, and a fresh seasonal batch of The WINTER GRACE. My production table was filled with small chunks of butters, spoon-fulls of infusions, last few precious drops of actives. I knew a special batch of Holiday mousse is coming! I poured myself my favorite cuppa of Kama Sutra Chai, and sat down to write all available ingredients, calculate the synergy, and cross check ingredient compatibility.
When I saw the final formula, I was dancing like a kid around the Xmas tree in joy. I knew it will be my most luxurious mousse I have ever whipped. With Pentatonix Christmas album in the background, I measured out butters and oils that needed to be melted first, and the extracts that will be added at the end. Hours later, whipped to perfection, the mousse was set aside for stability and testing. Now finally, it is yours to delight in glow.

Bakuchiol
An alternative agent to topical retinoids that has recently gained more exposure in the literature. Bakuchiol is a purified extract found mainly in the seeds of the Indian plant Psoralea corylifolia (babchi). The compound has been found to have antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antiacne activity. Mechanistically, bakuchiol appears to target several cellular pathways similar to those targeted by retinoids, including the modulation of retinoic acid receptors genes and upregulation of collagen and extracellular matrix synthesis enzymes.
Kokum
Obtained from wild mangosteen, this silky, non-comedogenic butter is an exquisite emollient that improves skin’s elasticity, and firmness. Rich in antioxidant Vitamin E, and anti-inflammatory compounds, it helps protect cells from degeneration, dryness, and sun damage.
Illiipe
Rich in unsaturated oleic and linoleic acids, illipe reinforces the skin’s natural protective barrier, resulting in more resilient skin. It helps protect the skin against the environmental damage, prevents premature damage by the elements, and helps to retain moisture in the skin.

Coenzyme Q10
An enzyme with promising results to help even skin tone and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It helps to boost skin cell activity, which speeds-up the way cells get rid of toxins, stimulate collagen, and elastin production, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline
A derivative of hydroxyproline, a peptide that is the primary amino acid in collagen. This ingredient helps to support skin’s collagen by firming and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Orchid
Praised for their ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, orchids deliver anti-oxidant and humectant properties that soothe, condition and moisturize the skin. The presence of mucilage in orchids enables them to maintain skin hydration by functioning as a moisturizer and emollient due to its high water binding capacity.
