Happy Earth Day 🌎🌸

Few days ago I was called to write a Love Letter to Earth 🌎, an exercise I feel every one of us could be enriched by. Mine turned out an experience with laughter, tears, wonderment and inspired purpose.

“Dear Earth, I wrote. I am of you…”

In this love letter I spoke to her not as a Mother Earth, but as a highly evolved and experienced conscious sentient Being. I asked her about her life, how does it feel to have humans inhabit her, what are her wants, and is she even a she as I have been referring to Earth all this time….

Pages into my letter to Earth my love began to show up more and more as gratitude for my being on and of Earth. For the wisdom, the support of life and incredible wonder that is Earth. What an incredible privilege to call this planet my home.

Gratitude then morphed into me asking question after question…things like “what do you, Earth want from me (if anything at all)”. To some silly questions of “what is it like to be a planet?”, and “do you have a favorite specie/type of inhabitant”….

After all that, and more, I feel so much more closer and intimately connected to her (Earth didn’t seem to mind being referred in this way). The sense of my personal responsibility of supporting her wellbeing feels richer, purposeful, hopeful, and yes, more personal.

With that, I am off to enjoy the bounty of Earth’s blooms and botanicals to give love to my body and skin. As I am of Earth, I realized that she is also of me.
