This return features one of the most potent antioxidants: Hawaiian Astaxanthin, grown and harvested on the Big Island of Hawaii.
[asta-ZAN-thin] is a coral-hued carotenoid and is one of the most potent known quenchers of singlet oxygen, the highly reactive form of oxygen generated by UV exposure. In in-vitro studies, astaxanthin has shown antioxidant activity far exceeding many well-known antioxidants, helping to defend lipids, proteins, and cell membranes from oxidative stress.
